Art Therapy & Counseling for Teens and Adults in Camp Hill
A safe space to be vulnerable, express yourself, and move forward in healing
About Amanda
I earned my Master’s degree in Art Therapy from Marywood University and began my career working in community mental health settings. Over the past 15 years, I have provided outpatient mental health services at nonprofit agencies, including Children’s Advocacy Centers, where I specialized in supporting individuals and families navigating trauma, grief, and loss. In addition to clinical work, I have taught graduate-level art therapy students as an adjunct professor and have presented numerous trainings on trauma and art therapy.
Today, I bring this experience into my full-time private practice.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered & Board Certified Art Therapist, I am dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space where clients can feel heard, understood, and respected. I work with teens and adults who have experienced traumatic life events, grief and loss, anxiety, life transitions, and other emotional challenges.
My approach is client-centered, compassionate, and collaborative. I blend traditional talk therapy with creative artistic expression, using art therapy as a meaningful way to explore emotions, process difficult experiences, and support personal growth.

Types of Therapy
Offered
Personalized one-on-one therapy sessions designed to support healing and personal growth in a safe, confidential environment. Either in-person or virtually.
Individual Therapy
A creative approach to healing that allows individuals to express thoughts and emotions when words feel difficult — no artistic experience necessary as the focus is the process, not the product.
Art Therapy
Using a thoughtful blend of trauma-informed care and art therapy, this work creates a safe, compassionate space where experiences can be gently expressed, explored, and held with care—without pressure or judgment.

What to Expect
Beginning therapy is a courageous step, and it’s natural to feel a combination of emotions — from fear to hope. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and confidential space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.
During our first session, the time is spent getting to know you — your concerns or worries, your goals, and what brings you to therapy. Whether you are looking for traditional talk therapy, creative processing through art therapy, or a blend of both, together we’ll develop a therapeutic plan tailored to your needs.
Therapy is a collaborative process. Through a therapeutic relationship, clients, over time, find greater clarity, stronger coping skills, and a deeper understanding of themselves.
Finding the right support is an investment in your well-being. AEF Art Therapy & Counseling is committed to making high-quality care accessible while providing a thoughtful, personalized therapeutic experience.
